| Black Hole | An area in which the gravitational pull is so big that nothing can escape. |
| Event Horizon | The perimeter of the black holes expansion. Anything outside this perimeter doe snot get sucked into the black hole. |
| Accretion Disk | The gas nearest to the black hole which forms the outside ring shape. |
| The Jet | They are created from powerful supernovae. They are the only way our scientist can see black holes. |
| Supernova | A massive explosion of a star that creates a black. |
| The Center | Black holes are thought to be the center of every galaxy. |
| The Mass of a Black Hole | Black holes range in masses from millions to billions times the mass of the sun. |
| Gravities Effect | The gravity inside a black hole is so strong that not even light can escape. |
| A Stars Collapse | When a stars hydrogen is exhausted it allows gravity to swallow it, creating a supernova. |
| Singularity | The center of a black hole where space and time cease to exist. |
