Angle

A figure formed by two rays with a common endpoint

Perpendicular Lines

Lines that intersect at a 90˚ angle

Collinear

It is like people in the same line, they are named by the word point and a capital letter

Non Collinear

Not together or on the same line

Skew Lines

Lines that are not parallel and do not intersect

Parallel Lines

Lines that have no points in common

Intersecting Lines

Lines that have exactly one point in common

Plane

A flat surface with no thickness that extends in all directions on the surface

Segment

Consists of two endpoints and all the points of the line between the endpoints

Point

A location in space. It has no size.

Ray

Consists of one endpoint and all the points of the line on one side of the endpoint

Line

A series of points that extend without end in two opposite directions.

Rhombus

A parallelogram with four congruent sides

Square

Parallelogram with four right angles and four congruent sides

Rectangle

Parallelogram with four right angles

Trapezoid

Has four sides and has EXACTLY ONE pair of parallel lines

Irregular Polygon

A polygon with sides that are not all congruent or angles that are not all congruent

Parallelogram

Has four sides and has TWO pairs of parallel lines

Regular Polygon

A polygon with all sides congruent and all angles congruent

Equilateral Triangle

Has three congruent sides

Right Triangle

Has one right angle

Polygon

A closed figure that has three or more line segments that do not cross

Scalene Triangle

Has no congruent sides

Isosceles Triangle

At least two congruent sides

Obtuse Triangle

Has one obtuse angle

Acute Triangle

Has three acute angles

Triangle

A closed figure made of three line segments that meet only at their endpoints

Angles with equal measures

Supplementary Angles

The sum of the measures of two angles is 180˚

Complementary Angles

The sum of the measures of two angles that equal 90˚

Measures between 90˚ and 180˚

Measures less than 90˚
