Terms	Definitions
Kingdom of God	Living God's Will
Sin	a free and knowing choice contrary to God's will
Original Sin	the first sin AND the results of that sin (those things in the world that influence us to sin)
Prophet	one who communicates God's word
Agape	To seek/desire what is good for all people
Vice	the habit or disposition to do bad/evil
Virtue	the habit or disposition to do good
Theological Virtues	focus on (direct) our relationship with God
Faith	enables us to believe in God and the Church
Hope	enables us to desire the Kingdom of Heaven and eternal life
Charity	enables us to Love God above all else and our neighbor as ourselves
Cardinal Virtues	(also called Human or Moral) focus on (direct) our human intellect or will
Justice	meeting peoples' basic needs
Prudence	wise/careful/sensible judgment in all circumstances
Fortitude	the courage to do what is right even if others disagree with or challenge you
Temperance	Balance/moderation in thoughts, actions, or feelings
Legal Justice	our duties as citizens, what we owe the community
Distributive Justice	what society owes us (fair sharing of resources, etc.)
Environmental Justice	what we owe creation
False Prophet	officially employed/appointed by the king, told the king (people) what they wanted to hear
True Prophet	appointed/called by God to call people to conversion
Power	the ability to have influence, positive or negative, on ourselves, others, or the world
Incarnation	when the Son of God assumed human nature and became man in order to accomplish our salvation
