Polygon
a closed plane figure with straight sides
Examples: rectangles, squares, triangles, etc.
Regular polygon
a polygon in which the sides are all the same length (equilateral) and are symmetrically placed around a common center (equiangular)
Examples: equilateral triangle, squares
Polyhedron
a three-dimensional figure whose surfaces are polygons
Prism
a polyhedron with two congruent and parallel faces (the bases) and whose lateral faces are parallelograms
Right prism
a prism whose lateral faces are rectangles
