folktale | A tale centering around ordinary people which contains magic; like our modern day fairytales |
fable | A short tale that contains animals acting like humans which teaches a moral/lesson |
legends | A tale centered on real historic people, but their actions have been exaggerated |
myths | A story that centers on gods/goddesses and describes occurrences in nature. |
