Arteritis Inflammation of an artery.
Arthritis Inflammation of a joint.
Ascites Accumulation of free serous fluid in the abdominal cavity.

Cardiomyopathy A general term referring to disease of the heart muscle.
Caseation Necrosis The characteristic form of necrosis associated with tuberculosis, resembling a soft, cheesy mass.
Cavitation The formation of cavities within a tuberculous lung as a result of the necrotic material within a tubercle being sloughed off into an adjacent bronchiole.
Cellular Pathology (Microscopic Pathology, Histopathology) The study of disease based on observations made with the aid of a microscope.
Cerebral Palsy Non-progressive nervous system disorder characterized by brain damage before or shortly after birth, resulting in tremors, partial paralysis, and possibly mental retardation.
Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) Changes in the brain which result from the interruption of cerebral circulation; also known as apoplexy or stroke.
