adj: threatening or ominous

cabal

n: group of conspirators

deign

v: to regard as worthy; to stoop or condescend to

anaphora

n: the deliberate repetition of a word or phrase at the beginning of several successive verses, clauses, or paragraphs

apostrophe

n: figure of speech that directly addresses an absent or imaginary person or a personified abstraction

epigraph

n: the use of a quotation at the beginning of a work that hints at its theme

lyrical

adj: having the form and musical quality of a song

metaphysical

adj: concerned with abstract thought or subjects
