Integers the set of positive whole numbers, their opposites, and zero.
opposite integers two numbers that are the same distance from 0 on a number line, but in opposite directions
absolute value of a number is its distance from 0 on a number line
ex. "the absolute value of -3" is /-3/
adverse inverses two numbers whose sum is 0
Adding Integers, Same Sign the sum of two positive numbers is positive
the sum of two negative numbers is negative
Adding Integers, Different Signs find the absolute value of each integer
subtract the lesser absolute value from the greater
the sum has the sign of the integer with the greater abslute value
Subtracting Integers to subtract an integer, add its opposite
Multiplying Integers the product of two integers with the same sign is positive
the product of two integers with different signs is negative
Dividing Integers the quotient of two integers with the same sign is positive
the quotient of two integers with different signs is negative
