Relative cell reference | Cell value changes as the formula is copied. |
Absolute cell reference | Cell value remains static when copied to other locations. |
Mixed cell reference | Combination of an absoluteand a relative cell. |
Order of Operations | P (parentheses); E (exponents), M (multiplication), D (division), A (addition), S (subtraction) |
Sum Function | Adds a defined range of cells. Example =SUM(C4:C18) |
Average Function | Determines the average of a defined range of cells. Example =AVERAGE(C4:C18) |
Maximum Function | Finds the highest number in a defined range of cells. Example =MAX(C4:C18) |
Minimum Function | Finds the lowest number in a defined range of cells. =MIN(C4:C18) |
Wrap | Used to align multi-line text within a single cell. |
Merge | Used to combine two or more cells. |
Primary Sort | Indicates the primary sort range of data. |
Secondary Sort | Indicates the next range of data sorted. |
Print Selection | Used to print a portion of a spreadsheet. |
Linkied | When the target, usually a word document, is updated when the source document (spreadsheet) is edited or changed. |
Embedded | When the spreadsheet is converted into a graphic image (snapshot) and placed in the target document. The target document does not change when the source document changes. |
