Every leadership situation is different, certain behaviors work well in certain situaions
-behaviors can be learned, people do not have to be born with it

- Past performances
- Relative positioning of authority and power

- use minimal words
- have a sense of humor
- use idivudual psychology - people respond different
-Have technical competency - know your SPORT
- Appreciate the sociology of team(how team interacts, how people are perceived on team

Transactional Leadership

Role Efficacy

a persons beliefs in their ability to fulfill role

Role Conflict

Person feels that they are being pulled in opposite directions
ex-captain and policing the team off ice

Role Overload

Athlete feels there are too many expectations of task

Role Satisfaction

how happy people are with their given roles
informal roles
formal roles

Autocratic - Authoritative
Democratic - majority rules
Laisse-Faire- go with the flow

Co-Acting Team

performance/ action is done in individual manner
-bowling, tennis etc

Interacting Team

team moving together
Verbal Communication
Game is not played in isolation
Entire team interacts together

Of Co-acting and Interacting Teams which is Cohesion more important too...
