Democracy

In this form of government, the people vote on all issues and the majority rules.

Republic

In this form of government, the people elect officials to make decisions for them. Power is transferred through elections.

Communism

In this form of government, the government owns all property and shares it equally with everyone.

Socialism

In this form of government, the government owns a few key industries or businesses and distributes those resources equally.

Nazism

In this form of government, all decisions are made for the benefit of one group.

Fascism

In this form of government, all decisions are made for the benefit of the government.

Monarchy

In this form of government, the leader of the government rules with absolute power, has a title, and passes on power through his or her bloodline.

Dictatorship

The leader in this form of government has absolute power.

Theocracy

This form of government is ruled by the state religion.

Militarism

This form of government is ruled by the government's military.

Anarchy

A state where there is no government.

Oligarchy

A form of government ruled by a few people.

Aristocracy

A form of government ruled by the wealthy.

Matriarchy

A form of government ruled by women.

Patriarchy

A form of government ruled by men.

Tribalism

A form of government ruled by a family or families.
