Describe the Greenhouse Effect. The greenhouse Effect is when gases make a "blanket" around the Earth with gases and it holds heat which comes from sunlight. What causes Wind? Wind is caused by air pressue. How is wind measured? Wind is measured by an anemometer which is a instrument where ther is four colored half sphere that are hollow and one of them is a different color, then if you put this object where there is strong wind or justa small breze, you count the number of times the different colored half sphere goes around. Explain the differnce between global winds and local winds, and what causes them. The difference between global winds and local winds are that global winds are winds that blow over long distances and they are caused by unequal heat of a surface but local winds are winds that blow over local areas and are caused by unequal heat over a small area. How do clouds form? Clouds form when water vapor in the air becomes liquid water or ice crystals, this is also known as condensation. What are 5 different types of Precipitation? Describe each one. 5 differnet ttypes of precipitation are rain, or water droplets at least 0.5 millimeters in diameter also another type of precipitaion is sleet, or ice particales samller then 5 millimeters in diameter and sleet only happens in winter also another type of precipitaion is freezing rain which is rain the freezes when it hits a cold surface, the next type of precipitation is hail, or round pellets of ice larger than 5 millimeters in diameter and hail only happens in summer, and the last type of precipitation is snow of ice crystals.
