Longshore drift The material that is washed up along the beach
Cliffs and Rocky Platforms Formed by waves eroding the rock face between high and low tide
Notch Caused by the erosion the constant high and low tide, which forms at the base of a cliff
Headlands Harder rocks, that take longer to erode
Bay Formed by soft rocks that wear away quickly
The bending of waves Refraction
Caves Formed where weak rocks are eroded on each side of a headland
Arch Formed by the cave eroding enough to join another
Stack Formed by further erosion of the rock supporting the rock, which causes it to collapse
Blowhole Formed by the pressure that builds up in the back of the cave, causing part of the roof to collapse
Inlet Formed when the entire roof of a cave collapses
Coastline are built by these Deposition and longshore drift
Beaches are formed by this Material that is brought by the waves in the swash
This part of the beach in submerged during high tides and exposed during low tides Intertidal (section)
Berm A sand ridge

Initial dune is also known as this Foredune
Behind the foredunes Back dunes
The purpose of vegetation on dunes Stabilises dunes
Waves are affected by these factors Windspeed, strength and fetch
Most of coast erosion is caused by one major factor People
