Midsegment

A special segment of a triangle that connects the midpoints of two sides of the triangle; this segment is parallel to the side of the triangle that it does not intersect and is half of that sides length

concurrent

three or more lines that intersect at one point

Point of concurrency

The point where three or more lines intersect

circumcenter

the point of concurrency of the perpendicular bisectors of a triangles

incenter

the point of concurrency of the angle bisectors of a triangle

median

a segment where one of its endpoints is a vertex and the other is the midpoint of the opposite side

centroid

balance point, concurrency of the medians

altitude

the perpendicular segment from a vertex to the line containing the opposite side. can be inside or outside.

orthocenter

the point of concurrency of the altitudes of a triangle

angle bisector

A ray that divides an angle into two congruent angles.
