| base | In the power, the number used as a factor. In 10/3 ,the base is 10. That is, 10/3= 10x10x10. |
| power | A number that can be expressed using an exponent. The power 3/2 is read three to the second power, or three squared. |
| squared | A number multipled by itself, 4x4, or 4/2. |
| cubed | The product in which a number is a factor three times. Two cubed is 8 because 2x2x2=8. |
| divisible | a whole number is said to be divisible by another number if the remainder is 0 when the first number is divided by the second. |
