| Falling action | result of complication , conflict is resolved. |
| resolution/denounement | final resolution, all questions are answered. sometimes no real resolution. |
| protagonist | main or central character, but not always a hero or good guy |
| antagonist | rival of the protagnoist |
| round | characters with distinct unique peronsality, like a real person |
| flat | lacks depht or complexity of a real person, sometimes a sterotype. |
| setting | time and place, each carries a set of beliefS |
| first person | is the narrator, can be major or minor character, uses i, my |
| omniscient | all-knowing narrator, can see hear, know, everything, can get into mind of any character |
| limited | reveals thoughts of a single character, presents other characters only externally such as through dialogue |
| objective | avoids any expressions of personal opinions, attitudes, or emotions, doesnt get into the thoughts of any chracter, reports, thoughts, in a matter of fact ways |
| theme | the universal message of the story, about some aspect of human life or experience ./ it does not summarize the plot, but is a more general statement, of the life lessons or universal truths this story teachers, the theme is what the story says about life of being human. |
