Physical Property Qualities of a substance that can be observed or measured using the 5 senses without changing the identity of the substance
Physical Change A change that affects one or more physical properties of a substance. No new substances are formed.
Chemical Property Qualities which describe a substance based on its ability to change into a new substance with different properties.
Chemical Change When one or more substances are changed into an entirely new substance with different properties
Thermal Conductivity The ability to transfer heat from one area to another.
State The phase of matter that a substance can exist in.
Malleability The ability of a material to be pounded into thin sheets.
Ductility The ability of a material to be drawn or pulled into a wire.
Solubility The ability to dissolve in another substance.
Density The amount of matter in a given volume.
Flammability The ability to burn
