| Isthmus | A narrow piece of land that connects two larger pieces of land. |
| Island | A body of land that's surrounded by water on all sides. |
| Desert | A dry region that's usually sandy without trees. |
| Fjord | A long narrow steep-sided inlet from the sea. |
| Glacier | A huge mass of ice that moves slowly down a mountain. |
