epiphany	moment, when your eyes are opened to the reality of the situation
sentimentality	when an author tries to make the reader feel bad for a character
protagonist	main character in a piece of literature, who always face the main conflict
setting	time period and location of the protagonist's conflict and resolution of the plot
climax	a turning point for the protagonist in regard to his or her conflict/faces his or her problem
irony	seems like it should match, but it does not, expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite
allegory	symbolic expression of the meaning in story, extended metaphor that run from beginning to end, where each literal aspect has a figurative counterpart

plot	the rise, climax,and fall or resolution of the protagonist's foil
foil character	minor character that parallels a major character, of helps the reader understand something about the major character
character	individual who is identified in a piece of literally work
characterization	description of a character
pathos	quality that arouses pity
symbol	an object that has a literal meaning, but used to represent an abstract idea
fantasy	elements that go beyond the natural world
diction	the words we use
literary	thought provoking endings/resolution
