Rhetoric

The art of using words to persuade in writing or speaking. In the study of rhetoric, the focus should be how a writer uses elements of language (diction, tone, syntax etc) to achieve a specific purpose.

Tone

the speaker or author's attitude towards the subject, which is reveled by the words he or she uses

Cognition

noun-the act or process of knowing, including both awareness and judgement

Condemnation

noun-censure or blame
