This is first-of-its-kind technology, so it has quite a few rough edges we still need to polish. Your feedback and test data are essential to the success of this project.

In order for this to work, we need to access your computer's microphone. You should see a popup asking you to trust our application -- clicking Trust lets our application receive audio from your computer. You will always see a "Recording" label whenever your microphone is being accessed.

After completing the instructions on this page, you will be able to play Quizlet study games with Voice Recognition enabled.

Troubleshooting

1. After speaking, try the "Replay my audio" button to hear what we heard (make sure your speakers are turned up). If the audio isn't intelligible, try the other troubleshooting tips below.
2. If you have an external microphone, make sure your microphone is plugged in and connected.
3. Make sure you follow the instructions above exactly. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get used to hold-to-talk. Think of it like a walkie-talkie: it only records when you hold the button.
4. If the audio bar below the button is showing up-and-down activity, but the recognizer isn't hearing you correctly, try adjusting the input volume for the microphone in your system settings.
5. Speech recognition is an imperfect art. Some accents or voices may be unreliable or completely unrecognizable. The recognizer currently only works with English.
