| Fjord | A narrow inlet or arm of the sea bordered by steep cliffs, esp. in Norway. |
| Flood Plain | A flat area of land next to a river or stream that floods periodically |
| Glacier | A large mass of ice that moves over land and doesn't melt from year to year |
| Gulf | A bay so large that it forms an 'arm' or extra section of a sea or ocean |
| Harbor | An area of water nearly surrounded by (usually) thin land that acts as a safe place for ships |
