Term	Definition
Point of view	the perspective, or vantage point, from which a story is told
Three commonly used points of view used in writing	first person, omniscient third person, and limited third person
First person point of view	when the narrator is a character in the story and refers to himself or herself with the pronoun "I"
First person pronouns	I, me, my, mine, ours
Two kinds of third-person point of view	limited and omniscient
Third-person pronouns	he, she, they
Third person	talks ABOUT the characters
Omniscient third-person	when the narrator knows and tells about what each character feels and thinks
The way to remember 3rd person omniscient is to remember	the narrator is like a "god" who can read everyone's mind
Limited third-person	when the narrator relates the inner thoughts and feelings of only ONE main character
