Ithmus | A narrow strip of land borderd by water that connects two larger bodies of land. |
Plain | a level or flat, usually treeless, area of land |
Plateau | a level surfaced land area, raised above adjoining land |
Penninsula | an area of land that is almost completely surrounded by water except for a small part connecting it to the main land |
Tributary | a stream that flows to a larger stream or body of water |
Strait | a narrow passage of water connecting two large bodies of water |
Confluence | the junction or meeting place of two or more rivers or streams as they flow together |
