### commutative

numbers that can be added or multiplied in any order

### coordinate

a set of numbers that determines the location of a point in space

### circumference

the complete distance around a circle (the perimeter)

### circle graph

a graph that uses a round shape to represent the whole and "oie pieces" to represent the parts.

### bar graph

a bar graph is a graph that uses rectangles to represent the amounts being compared

### divisible

a number that can be divided (broken) into equal parts without a remainder (leftover)

### common multiple

a multiple shared by two or more numbers

### integer

a positive or negative whole number, or a zero (no decimals or fractions)

### expanded form or expanded numeral

a number broken apart according to its place value (ex: 458 = 400+50+8)

### edge

a line where to faces join

### ordered pair

a pair of numbers that gives the coordinate of a point on a grid

### probability

tha chance or likelihood of an outcome happening

### parallel lines

lines that travel in the same direction and always stay the same distance apart. The never touch each other

### place value

the value of a digit based on its position in the number

### square number

the product (answer) of a number multiplied by itself (ex: 4x4=16, 8x8=64)

### regular polygon

a polygon with all sides and all angles equal (congruent)

### remainder

a part of the dividend that is left over when the dividend cannot be divided evenly by the divisor

### square mile

a measure of area that is one mile by one mile

### trapezoid

a four sided polygon that has two parallel sides

a point where two line segments meet (a corner)
