| Climax | The turning point of the story, often the most intense moment |
| Falling Action | Part of the plot where complications occur that keep the major conflict from being resolved and where minor conflicts begin to work themselves out |
| Resolution | Part of the plot where the major conflict is solved |
| Antagonist | A character who works against the main character and often time contributes to the conflict |
| Protagonist | The main character who changes throughout the story due to conflict |
