skin | largest organ; provides protection, sensory response, formation of vitamin D, regulation of body temperature, and removal of some wastes |
skin graft | piece of skin that is cut from one part of the body an moved to an injured or burned area where there is no skin |
Vitamin D | produced in the presence of ultraviolet light; essential to health by helping absorb calcium from food |
