wechsler adult intelligence test | consists of subtests, each subtest meansures a different intellectual skill, these scales dont use the concepts of (MA) but they still use the term (IQ) |
bell curve | what we use to determine what level a persons (IQ) scores in. Retardation has a score of at or below 70 and gifted people score between 130 and 145 or above |

kinship studies | studies to determine if intelligence has anything to do with genetics |
adoptee studies | studies used to determine if intelligence is caused or effected by genetics (comparing adopted children's IQ's to biological parents and adoptive parents) |
environmental influences on intelligence | parenting style, home environment, schooling etc. |
head start | a program used for underprivileged kids to improve social intelligence as well as academic intelligence |
adult intelligence factors | level of income, level of education, a history of stimulating jobs, intact family life, attendance to cultural events, travel and reading, marriage to a high level intellectual functioning spouse, a flexible personality |
