Area The number of units squares needed to cover a figure.
Circumference The distance around a circle.
Hypotenuse The side of a right triangle opposite the right angle.
The longest side of a right triangle.
Perfect square The square of a whole number. (Ex: 36 is a perfect square because 36 = 6²)
Perimeter The distance around a geometric figure.
Pythagorean Theorem a² + b² = c²

Perimeter Formula P = Sum of all sides
Circumference Formula C = (π)(d) or C = 2(π)r
Area of a Rectangle A = l(w)
Area of a Parallelogram A = b(h)
Area of a Triangle A = ½(b)(h) or A = (b*h)/2
Area of a Trapezoid A = (½)(h)(b1+b2)
Area of a Circle A = πr²
Leg The two sides that form the right angle in a right triangle.
Diameter The distance across a circle through its center.
Radius The length of a line segment between the center and circumference of a circle or sphere
