1. Outcome identification - measurable, achievable, specific. 2. Goals - promote multisystem function, prevention of problems caused by immobility.
Immobility: implementation (5 items)
Maintain body alignment and support extremities, Use the common bed positions, Reposition every two hours, Massage pressure areas every two hours, Range of motion exercises.
Immobility: Passive range of motion
Twice daily - each joint 2-5 exercises (recomm.) Increases joint mobility and circulation, does NOT increase muscle tone, mass or strength, gently, slowly gradually move joint while providing support. Move until resistance met NOT discomfort.
