Nazi a member of the National Socialist German Workers' party which in 1933, under Adolf Hitler, seized political control of the country, suppressing all opposition and establishing a dictatorship over all cultural, economic and political activities of the German people
blitzkrieg a swift, sudden military offensive, usually by combined air and moblie land forces
trench warfare a type of armed combat in which the opposing troops fight from trenches that face each other; usually associated with World War I
guerilla a member of an irregular armed force that fights a stronger force by sabotage and harassment; a member of a small group of fighters who make sudden attacks on an enemy
