The energy of charged particles. It is used to run appliances and other machines.
Mechanical energy
The energy of moving objects. It is used to move people and objects from place to place.
Sound energy
Energy you can hear. It moves as waves through air or other matter. It is used to hear music.
Light energy
Energy you can see. It moves as waves through space or clear matter. it allows you to see books or other objects.
Thermal energy
The energy of tiny moving particles of matter. It is used to heat food and warm home.
Chemical energy
Energy that is stored in substances. It is found in food, fuel, and batteries.
Potential energy Stored energy.
Kinetic energy Energy in motion.
Waves A movement that carries energy from one place to another.
Crest The highest point of a wave.
Trough The lowest point of a wave.
