The Fourteen Points A list of terms developed by Woodrow Wilson that was designed to resolve WWI and prevent future wars.
Mandates Territories (former colonies of Central Powers) that were administered by western powers after WWI.
Reparations Payments for war damages.
The Treaty of Versailles The name of the peace treaty that ended WWI. In it Germany was forced to take the blame for the war and pay reparations.
The Paris Peace Conference The name of the peace conference at the end of WWI.
The Leaue of Nations The name of an organization of nations created at the end of WWI. The purpose of the organization was to keep the peace.
Woodrow Wilson President of the United States during WWI.
The Big Four The leaders of France, Britain, Italy, and the US at the Paris Peace Conference.
Georges Clemenceau Leader of France at the end of WWI. He wanted to punish and weaken Germany.
Self- Determination The idea that people should be allowed to decide for themselves under what government they wished to live.
