Endocrine system the production and distribution of hormones
pituitary tiny structure (about the size of a pea) located at the base of the brain
master gland secretes hormones that control other endocrine glands such as the thyroid and adrenal glands
growth hormone which causes your body to grow.
thyroxine that controls the rates of certain chemical reactions in your body including your metabolism
metabolism the process which converts food to energy to help you work and play.
adrenal glands are endocrine glands that sit like little caps, one on top of each kidney
adrenaline the inner portion secretes a hormone which causes your body to release energy reserves very quickly during emergency situations
gonads are reproductive glands those concerned with the conception, development and birth of babies
