translation (slide) | A translation moves the figure in a straight line, changing its location, but not its position. Also called a slide. |
reflection (flip) | A transformation that produces the mirror image of a figure. |
rotation (90° turn) | (mathematics) a transformation in which the coordinate axes are rotated by a fixed angle about the origin |
pie (circle) graph | A graph that uses sectors of a circle to compare parts to the whole and parts to other parts. |

square root | a number that when multiplied by itself equals a given number |
perfect square | A square of a whole number. |

accute angle | an angle that is less than 90 degrees |
obtuse angle | an angle that measures more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees |
