 origin | the point of intersection of coordinate axes. where the values of the coordinates are all zero |
| translation (slide) | A translation moves the figure in a straight line, changing its location, but not its position. Also called a slide. |
| reflection (flip) | A transformation that produces the mirror image of a figure. |
| rotation (90° turn) | (mathematics) a transformation in which the coordinate axes are rotated by a fixed angle about the origin |
| pie (circle) graph | A graph that uses sectors of a circle to compare parts to the whole and parts to other parts. |

| Hypotenuse | the side of a right triangle opposite the right angle |
| accute angle | an angle that is less than 90 degrees |
| obtuse angle | an angle that measures more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees |
| right angle | an angle that measures 90 degrees |
