displacement distance and direction between starting and ending positions
speed distance traveled divided by the time needed to travel the distance
velocity displacement divided by the time
acceleration the change in velocity divided by the amount of time required for the change to occur
force a push or a pull
first law of motion An object will remain at rest or move in a straight line with a constant speed unless it is acted upon by a force

air resistance force that opposes the motion of objects that move through the air
