Aztec A civilization located in the Valley of Mexico that arose around the 13th century after the decline of the Toltecs
Quetzacoatl Feathered serpent god who was often associated with Topiltzin; depicted also as a pale skin bearded man
Huitzilopochti Aztec sun and war god who demanded blood and human sacrifice
Montezuma II (1502) the Ruler of the Aztecs when the Spanish arrived; also demanded for more sacrifice and people rebelled
Inca Located in modern day Peru; capital of this civilization was Cuzco
Pachacuti Inca ruler who conquered Peru which established the Inca empire in the 15th century
Inti Inca sun god; Inca rulers supposedly descend from him
Atahualpa Inca ruler who had a brutal civil war with his brother, won, and was ruler of the Inca when the Spanish arrived
