Terms	Definitions
Omnivore	Animal that eats both plans and animals
Herbivore	Animal that eats only plants
Carnivore	Animal that only eats other animals (meat)
Producer	An organism that can make its own food
Consumer	A living thing that eats other living things for food and energy
Food Chain	A pattern of eating and getting eaten; for example a plant is eaten by a rabbit, which is then eaten by a fox
Predator	Animal that hunts for its own food
Prey	Animal that predators eat
Green Plants	Producer and usually the start of all food chains
