Assists with movement of the Humerus & forms the CUFF over the proximal end of the Humerus
Tricep Brachii Posterior of the arm
-Extends Forearm
Bicep Brachii Flex the Forearm
Brachialis Helps Flex the Forearm
Brachiordialis Lateral side of the forearm helps flex the forearm
Gluteus Maximus Forms the Buttocks
-Extends & straightens the thigh at the hip
Gluteus Medius Deep to the Gluteus Maximus - A common injection site
-Abducts the thigh
Gluteus Minimus The deepest of the Gluteal group
-Also abducts the thigh
Quadriceps Femoris groups of muscles located on the Anterior & Lateral sides of the Thigh
-Extends the leg & straightens the leg @ the knee
Vastus Latteralis supports the knee joint
Vastus intermedius helps extend the leg
Vastus mediallis helps extend the leg
Vastus Femoris helps extend the leg
Tibialis Anterior Primary Muscle of the Anterior group
-Helps DorsiFlexion of the foot
Peroneus Longus Lateral to the leg
-Everts the foot
Gastrocnemius Posterior to the leg (calf)
-Responsible for Plantar Flexion "toe dancer muscle"
Soleus Posterior to the leg (calf)
Achilles Tendon Common tendon for gastrocnemius & soleus
Connects the muscle to the calcaneous (heel)
Largest Tendon in the Body
