Columbian Exchange The exchange of goods and Ideas between the Americas (New World) and Eroupe (Old World)
Destruction of the Indigenous Economies American Plantaions caused the calapse of native economies (based off of Nature), fences (no more roaming amimals), plowing (permanent farming, no longer nature based, desertification)
Mercator Projection Created by Mecator, these were maps that gave longitude (East and West) and latitude (North and South) as strait lines (good for traveling)
Trans-Atlantic Centered World The atlantic became the center of trade and the world (triangular trade)

AOD in Americas Destruction of American Civilizations (Myans, Aztec, and Incas), indigenous economies (based off of nature) were destroyed by plantations, and European-diminated culture (mirrored culture of mother country)
Old World The part of the Columbian Exchange that was a source of food stuffs (wheat, sugar, rice, and coffee beans), live stock (horses, cattle, and pigs), also brought diseases (SMALLPOX, measles, influenza and typhus)
New World The part of the Columbian Exchange that was a source of food stuffs (corn, POTATOES, beans, and coco beans), tobacco, and precious Metals
Key American Products indigo, rice, and tobacco (cotton only after 1790's)
Abundance of Precious Metals wealth was no longer limited, was the driving force for the Industrial Revolution and Capitalism
Potatoes this product of the New world was easy to farm and grew quickly, it was a main factor for the decrease of famine among the serfs and became a main staple of the poor man's diet
Small Pox This was a devestating disease that became and epidemic among the indigenous peoples of the Americas
