In sentences with a simple verb... ...the reflexive pronoun is placed before the conjugated verb.
Nosotros no nos acostamos tarde. We do not go to bed late.
In sentences with a complex verb, the reflexive pronoun is placed... ...after and attached to the infinitive or gerund.
Los niños van a levantarse temprano. OR Los niños se van a levantar temprano. The children are going to get up early.
Yo estoy poniéndome el suéter. OR Yo me estoy poniendo el suéter. I am putting on the sweater.
The reflexive pronoun is placed after and attached to the... ...affirmative command.
The reflexive pronoun is placed before the... ...negative command.
Lávate los dientes después de cada comida. Wash your teeth after every meal.
No te bañes con agua fría. Don't bathe with cold water.
