simplify/reduce Combine like terms and apply properties to an expression to make computation easier; to put in simplest form
distributive property of multiplication When you multiply a sum by a number, you will get the same result if you multiply each addend by that same number
ratio A comparison of two numbers by division
multiple The product of any number and that number is a multiple of that number
