Corregidor America and Phillipines try to hold up there, but they surrender due to lack of supplies
Bataan Death March Americans and Phillipines were forced to walk this because they lost and they could be killed, and then America fully joins WWII
Atlantic Charter FDR meets w/ Churchill and they decide to defeat Hitler first and then attack the Japanese
Lend Lease Program The Americans get troops, but it will be a while before they can fight, so they loan supplies to the Allies so they can fight (they are all fighting against Germany & Italy)
Internment Camps Japanese were sent here in America, like Concentration Camps
Manzoni one of the Internment Camps
Pearl Harbor the bombing in Hawaii that made the Americans go into the war. December 7th, 1941
Battle of MidwayOne of the three turning parts of the war. Code break shows that they want to get to Middway Island. American aircrafts are waiting for arrival. This is a good battle for the Americans because it helps them advance, and they destroy many Japanese ships that they cannot rebuild due to the lack of industrialization and lack of supplies.
Guadalcanal August 1942 (in the textbook chapter)
Iwo Jima Feb 1945 U.S. captures, where the five men (two die) hold up the American Flag
