Appeal to Ignorance | It's true because you cannot prove it false or vice versa |
Begging the question | Evidence that only seems legitimate from your own perspective |
Hasty generalization | Draw a conclusion from insufficient evidence |
Non sequitur | When there is no logical connection between two phrases |
False dichotomy | When you oversimplify stuff into two opposing sides; black and white, no gray |
Slippery slope | One mistake progresses and gets worse and worse, kind of. |
Faulty Causality | Setting up a cause and effect relationship that does not actually exist. When you mix up correlation and causation |
Straw Man Argument | An oversimplification of an opponents argument. When an argument is boiled down to some extreme example. |

Red Herring | When you try and shift attention away from the main argument |
Scare tactics | Scare the **** out of the reader |
Bandwagon Appeals | Argue that everyone else is also doing it. |
Dogmatism | When your beliefs are beyond question. "I'm right because I say so, ho" |
Equivocation | Tell a lie by technically telling the truth while still intentionally being misleading. Intentionally ambiguous |
Faulty Analogy | An illogical comparison of two things. |
