| Prime Number | a number that only has 2 factors- itself and 1 * one is not a prime number because it only has one factor- itself |
| Composite | any number with more than two factors |
| Square Number | a number that results from multiplying a factor by itself |
| Prime Factorization | to write a number as a product of its prime factors |
| Multiplication Combination | a multiplication number sentence- 2 x 3=6 |
| Multiple | the products you get when you times a factor by itself |
| Factors | the numbers you multiple together to get the product |
| Array | a set of numbers arrange in rows and colums to make a rectangle or square |
| Unmarked Array | a rectangle or square without grid markings |
| Dimensions of an Array | the length, width and area of an array |
| Division | the process of grouping a number into equal parts |
| Divisor | the number that divides the dividend (second in the math sentence or outside the "house") |
| Dividend | the number being divided (the first number in the math sentence or inside the "house") |
| Quotient | the answer in a division question |
| Remainder | any amount left over after dividing |
| Estimating | to make an a approximation/ rough calculation/guess often reached by rounding |
