Absolute Value of a Number Distance from zero on the number line
ex: l4l=4, l-4l=4
Domain The set of all possible input values of a relation or function.
Solution or Root A # from the Domain that makes an equation or inequality true.
Monomial a number, a variable, or a product of a number and one or more variables (ex: 7a²b).
Binomial an expression with exactly two terms (ex: 6j² − 2j³).
Trinomial a polynomial with three terms (ex: -6x⁴+ 5x² − 7).
Polynomial an algebraic expression with more than one term.
