DNA replication How it copies itself
DNA polymerase Find beginning of circular strand & begins breaking bonds holding the bases together (unzipping)
New nucleotides new are brought in and matched w/ old strand
eg: nucleotide A open and nucleotide w/ T, C open and nucleotide w/ G
Unzipping This process of 2 strands and matching new nucleotides to present ones continues along the entire circular DNA
DNA end When this process reaches the end, the bacterium has 2 DNA molecules. Each then twists, move to opposite ends of bact, & pinch into 2 bact
DNA new 1 parent strand is present in each new molecule w/ other strand being the new synthesized strand
