| Historical Documents or speeches | offical statements that record the social and political beliefs of groups of people and individuals in history and expose readers to the language of the time |

| Interview | A one on one conversation in which questions are asked and answered |
| Documentary | A nonfiction film that uses primary and seconday sources. |

| Paraphrasing | rewriting or restating another persons ideas or thoughts into your own words |
| Summarizing | A shortened vesrion of a paraohrase, it retains the writers main idea and point of view but condenses the material |
| Source Reliability | current author has credentials,etc (Seeing if an author is credible and trustworthy is checing for________) |
| Works cited/bibliography | a list of sources used in a nonfiction work and placed at the end of the paper |
| Plagiarism | taking someone elses words or ideas and making them yours with out proper credit |
| Parenthetical citation | How sources are cited in a n essay using MLA in parenteses (also called in text citation or internal documentation) |
