least common denominator

The least common multiple of the denominators of two or more fractions.

common difference

The difference between any two consecutive terms in an arithmetic square.

mean

The sum of data divided by the number of items in the data set, also called the average.

median

In a set of data, the middle number of the ordered data, or the mean of the two middle numbers.

terminating decimal

A decimal whose digits end. Can be written as a fraction with a denominator of 10, 100, 1000 and so on.

arithmetic sequence

A sequence in which the difference between any two consecutive terms is the same.
