| Class . Hierachy- any system of persons or things ranked one above another. Polytheism- the doctrine of or belief in more than one god or in many gods. Democracy- government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system. Centralization- the concentration of administrative power in a central government, authority, etc. Gender inflectional form showing membership Monarchy- supreme power or sovereignty held by a single person. Republic- a state in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives chosen directly or indirectly by them. Decentralization- to distribute the administrative powers or functions of (a central authority) over a less concentrated area: to decentralize the national government. Patriarchy- a form of social organization in which the father is the supreme authority in the family, clan, or tribe and descent is reckoned in the male line, with the children belonging to the father's clan or tribe. Oligarchy- a form of government in which all power is vested in a few persons or in a dominant class or clique; government by the few. Kingdom- a state or government having a king or queen as its head.
